About Alexandra Rose
Growing up in 100 year old house in north Chicagoland, I grew obsessed with crystal door knobs and dormered roofs at an early age. Though historic homes hold a special place in my heart, it’s not about what I love. My clients’ tastes are what I use to craft designs, whether it’s Gothic or Contemporary. Every style of design can be good design. Except maybe during that time when we were decorating with plastic blow-up sofas. You have to draw the line somewhere.
I specialize in space planning, kitchens, bathrooms and millwork, such as built-in cabinetry and also new home design. I have worked on luxury residential projects in cities across the country including in Flagstaff, Chicago, Nashville, San Francisco and in Marin County, California. Holding a Master of Arts degree in Design For Sustainability, I’m as passionate about ecologically responsible design as I am about composition and color.
In addition to my design work, I’m also highly proficient in in creating drawing sets using AutoCAD. I work with top architects and interior and landscape design firms across the country to develop bid and construction sets. I’m also developing an online course for interior designers, The ACADemy, to help them create their own professional drawings with ease.
